Police investigated construction work performed in the 2500 block of Ponte Vedra Boulevard, Ponte Vedra Beach, on June 10 that was near a sea turtle nesting site, putting the nest in danger. The foreman said they were replacing rotting wood on a walkover and extending the walkover by four feet over its original length. He did not have required permits on hand and was under the impression that the company that hired him had them. He was told to stop working until proof of state and county permits could be produced.
