Watching the giant green turtle on its life journey is a truly humbling experience, writes Intan Maizura Ahmad Kamal “NANTI dia datang balik ke, ma? (will he be coming back, ma?)”, my youngest daughter asks softly, her tear-rimmed eyes looking at me expectantly. In front of us, hundreds of tiny green turtle hatchlings are frantically hitting the waves, their first contact with the big wide sea. And in a line, along the beach, are groups of families and friends excitedly marvelling at the progress of the baby turtles that they’ve just released into the water.
